About The Feelings Therapist
Publishing House
We create emotionally rich children’s books designed to help families discuss life’s most challenging topics—from grief to change to emotional expression. Representation matters here: every story features characters in beautiful Black and brown hues, helping families of color feel seen, supported, and celebrated.
More About Ms. Dee
Born and raised in New Orleans with a deep legacy of service, Devina Parker originally pursued a career in military law. But after witnessing the emotional toll of systemic injustice, she realized the root wounds were deeper than the courtroom could reach.
She pivoted to psychology, earning her master’s from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in 2016. Since then, she’s provided therapy for underserved families, survivors of violence, and military communities—always with a focus on healing what often goes unspoken.
Today, Devina brings that insight to her writing—crafting stories that help families grow stronger, together.
“My books aren’t just for kids—they’re for families.”
